10:30 am Amigos Presentation & Discussion – Hyku
Hyku is an open source institutional repository software that Amigos is supporting as an IR solution for libraries who find fully supported IR solutions cost-prohibitive, or who don’t have technical expertise on their staffs to make unsupported open source solutions a viable option. An Amigos representative will join us to present Hyku as a potential IR solution for Arkansas libraries.

- What library experiences and skills do they bring to college and how do we find out?
- Is this the “Lost Generation” in terms of library skills, and what do we do with that?
- What role does AI play with freshmen, and how do librarians respond?
- What has worked or hasn’t worked with things you’ve tried at your library to orient freshers and help them be successful?
- How can academic librarians collaborate with high school librarians for the trade off?
