Mission & Responsibilities
The committee encourages a higher standard of professional education for librarians in Arkansas by soliciting contributions to the scholarship fund and by awarding scholarships. Duties of the committee: 1) Develop and implement a plan to promote contributions to the Scholarship Fund. 2) Turn all money collected over to the Secretary/Treasurer or Executive Director for deposit in the Scholarship Fund. 3) Review guidelines for awarding the scholarship. Revisions may be recommended to the Executive Board. 4) Award a yearly scholarship when the funds are available.
